National Pike festival continues to grow

This year’s National Pike Day festival, taking place May 16, will mark the 39th festival for the wagon train that winds its way westward on the National Pike from Addison to Mt. St. Macrina outside of Uniontown.

North Union Twp accident kills one and injures two.

One person was killed when a motorcycle and a four-wheeled all terrain vehicle collided shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday night on Coolspring Street in North Union Township. The fatal victim, whose identity was not given was pronounced dead at the scene by Fayette County deputy coroner Paul Kondrla at 11:47. Two other victims were flown from the scene by emergency helicopter for treatment of their injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation by state police who were assisted at the scene by North Union volunteer fire department and West Leisenring
North Union man dies in crash
The Herald Standard Reports:
A North Union Township man was killed late Sunday when the all-terrain-vehicle he was driving and a dirt bike collided in North Union Township.
