Scout renovates playground as Eagle service project

Suspect in Brownsville slaying surrenders to police
The Herald Standard Reports:
A Brownsville man accused of allegedly gunning down another man last week over drug money turned himself into police Sunday.
Trooper Christian D. Lieberum said William Philip “Teenie” Black, 30, of Frick Street was charged late Sunday before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with criminal homicide and robbery.
Police had issued a warrant for Black’s arrest after several days of investigation following the shooting death of Mark Joseph Pierce, 34, of Brownsville on April 20.
Borough police responded to reports of gunshots in the area at 8:11 p.m. Pierce’s body was found near a car on Playford Avenue in Brownsville. He had money in his hand, police said.

Suspect in fatal Brownsville shooting caught

Troopers were interviewing William "Teeni" Black, 30, at the state police barracks in Belle Vernon last night, according to a dispatcher at the station.
