Masontown man charged with sex assault of 7-year-old

MASONTOWN — Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Masontown man accused of indecent assault for inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl in September.

Masontown police Chief Joseph C. Ryan said David Scott McKeon, 28, was charged Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with indecent assault and corruption of minors.

According to Ryan, police became aware of the alleged incident in early October when Fayette County Children and Youth Services approached them.

Masontown police capture man wanted on sex charges

The Herald Standard Reports:

MASONTOWN — A Masontown man accused of indecent assault for inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl in September is now behind bars.

Masontown police Chief Joseph C. Ryan said David Scott McKeon, 28, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with indecent assault and corruption of minors.

Ryan said officers served a warrant for McKeon’s arrest Friday after obtaining the arrest warrant Thursday.

According to Ryan, police became aware of the alleged incident early this month when Fayette County Children and Youth Services approached them.

Mon/Fayette Expressway work will temporary close the Route 51 exit ramp

The Herald Standard Reports:

Construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway Uniontown to Brownsville Project will require the temporary closure of the Route 51 exit ramp from Route 119 north, starting Monday.
According to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, the night-time closures will take place Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, beginning Monday and continuing through 6 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6. The closure will be lifted through the Halloween weekend until 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.
The detour for Route 119 north traffic to Route 51 north and south will be via Route 119 north to the Gallatin Avenue exit, then left on Bute Road, then onto the Route 119 south on-ramp to the Route 51 exit ramp.
The general contractor, Walsh Construction, will close this intersection for the erection of structural steel over Route 119 north and the Route 51 exit ramp.
