Uniontown man held for court on drug charges

October 28, 2009

The Herald Standard Reports:

A Uniontown man accused of possessing drugs, a gun and cash inside his vehicle following an incident in Uniontown in May will have his day in court.

Officer Eric Hanula said Reese Lenaire Hodge II, 23, of 87 Dunlap St. was charged before Senior Magisterial District Judge Michael Rubish with drug possession and possession with intent to deliver drugs following the incident May 20.

Rubish held all charges against Hodge for Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing held Tuesday.

According to Hanula, the charges were filed against Hodge after he called police to his home to report a break-in.

Uniontown police investigate robbery

October 28, 2009

The Herald Standard Reports:

Police are searching for two men accused of assaulting and robbing another man at a carwash in Uniontown early Tuesday.

Police said they were called to the Spirit Car Wash on the corner of East Main and Connellsville streets shortly before 8 a.m.

According to police, a carwash employee, who was not identified, was retrieving money from a change machine on the side of the building when two men approached him.

Police said the men assaulted the employee with a board, stole money from him and then fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Tracker.
