Man charged with identity theft
The Herald Standard Reports:
A Monessen man was charged with identity theft after he allegedly used his brother’s name when he was pulled over by Southwestern Regional police.
Police said Sherman T. Aldrich, 39, gave the name of his brother, Duayne Aldrich, 42, when he was pulled over on Nov. 6 in Belle Vernon.
Police alleged that Sherman Aldrich had drugs in his possession and gave his brother’s name to avoid prosecution. Sherman Aldrich was charged with identity theft, obstructing the administration of law enforcement, false identification to law enforcement, false reports to law enforcement and drug possession.

Mill Run man faces sex assault charges
The Tribune Review Reports:
Jason A. Pritts, 33, of 392 Hampton Road, Mill Run, is being held in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond after his arraignment Wednesday before Connellsville District Judge Ronald Haggerty Sr., police said.

More money means more kids can attend Early Head Start
The Tribune Review Reports:
Nearly 80 additional children in Westmoreland and Fayette counties will have access to Early Head Start, a federally funded preschool program, the state Department of Education announced this week.
